Movie Special: RED 2: My Thoughts

*DISCLAIMER THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS*

So, last night I had the privileged to see a special screening of Red 2. All I can say is if you like RED, then you have to go see RED 2, and even if you haven't seen RED, go watch a trailer, and you will get the gist, or just go buy the DVD, or watch it on NetFlix.

I greatly enjoyed watching this sequel. The same energy that was in RED carried over to RED 2. Comedy, Action, a little bit of romance, just a little. The addition of Katherine Zeta Jones // which I think is one of thee sexiest women ever// and Lee Byung-hun //Storm Shadow in the G.I. Joe live action movies// worked very well with the story. and John Malkovich, that man is just funny, with out even trying.

One thing that i especially enjoyed about the movie, was the international travel, // which you can tell from the  poster and trailer, see no spoilers // It is a passion of mine to see and explore other places, and the actual history they have, in real life. The action and fight scenes, just as good as the first movie.

I will say, that I hate when movies try keep a series going, but this did a good job, and done it correct. So not that there need to be a part 3, but you know there are some good openings that could lead to another movie. Plus, who doesn't like the end of a good trilogy, as long as its done the same, if not better.

Go See It!!!

Update 7/23/13 **SPOILERS DOWN HERE**

Anthony Hopkins is a certified nut! I must say that I should have saw it coming that he was behind it himself. But the looney scientist bit, way to go sir.

AND REALLY, why did Catherine Zeta Jones have to die, such a travesty *puts head in hands*

I find it funny, how John Malkovich's character, is so paranoid, but yet always seems to be right. Which in the end, doesn't make him paranoid. BUT what is interesting, is how some of the things he say, between RED and RED 2 has some legitimacy. Think about it or look it up!

I look forward to seeing Lee Byung-hun in things to come, MAYBE he will make into a MARVEL MOVIE....hmmmm. I'm just putting it out there. MAYBE Ironfist....huh huh... lol

Movie: Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain : My Thoughts

There is really nothing for me to say about this movie, but THIS SHYT HAD ME DYING, TEARS FALLING. And that is my thought. lol. If you haven't seen it yet, here are some of my personal highlights (Yup Spoilers)

1. Deerbra
2. Best Friend Harry
3. Are You Done
4. Bum Bump

So at the end of the movie, Kevin Hart that he is one of few stand up comedians that have performed at Madison Square Garden. So of course me being the media researcher I am, I go to look to see who else is on this small list of comedians. Well, here you go....

1991: Andrew Dice Clay
2006: Dane Cook

Yup, that's all I found so far, but I'm still looking for others, check back later. If any one out there can find others, comment, and I'll add them, and give you the credit.

But like always, These are my thoughts, what are yours...... later people

White House Down (WHD) Vs. Olympus Has Fallen (OHF) FIGHT!!!

                  VS

So, after reading a couple reviews and comments, about WHD, and how it did not due as well as it was suppose to, and then being compared to OHF, well I can see how that can happen.

While watching WHD, I too also made comparisons. So lets begin.

Actors/Actress:
WHD: Jamie Foxx, Channing Tatum, James Woods,  Maggie Gyllenhaal, Richard Jenkins, Jason Clake
OHF: Morgan Freeman, Gerard Bulter, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott, Rick Yune

On this one, I would have to give it to OHF: Foxx and Tatum, are a good combo, especially with them being the main essence of the movie. But dude. Butler, //Mr. 300 This Is Sparta// and Freeman, //He's played God  twice, TWICE!// stand alone and do a good job. To break down further: Tatum, kinda regular army dude, saved and important son. Butler, ex-Special Forces. Granted Foxx was the president, //and so glad he did not die//, and Freeman was Speaker of the house, and only acting president, but he acted as president the damn near the whole movie. (Spoiler) Two other dudes got sworn into the president's position.

White House Scene and Grounds:
WHD: Classic fire up the middle of the White House, driving on the White House Lawn, Car in Pool, Pool house blown up, broke some irreplaceable pieces. basketball court.
OHF: Just the White House, but they demolished the whole damn thing
*quick funny, in WHD, they showed the historic picture of the white house burning, but OHF, really did burn  and blow up*

Action: WHD

Yea, I'll have to get it to WHD, it was all types of craziness going on there, OHF had a lot too, but when you  look at more than just hand to hand combat, yea WHD definitely has this one

Overall Movie: Tie, and here's why.
OHF, is a great movie, action, strong plot, and some of the things that happen in the movie, really make you wonder if it could ever happen in reality. And really how many times have you seen a president in a movie, get they ass beat. I'm just saying.

WHD: is more like that family action movie, but a better story. You have the child hero that really outshines the main hero. There is some soft comedy, people that want revenge for their son (spoiler), a president that shoots a rocket launcher.

But Ultimately you decide, and tell me what you think.

As always these are my thoughts, what are yours.....

Movie:White House Down: My Thoughts

YouTube Trailer

IMDbWhile on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders.

My Thoughts: This movie was way better than I expected. Based upon the title you already can tell that its something about to go down at the White House. //What is it this year about people picking on the White House, hmmmm//. While always good to see an action movie, with some comedy, and a story that plays out and develops //Yay, Daddy saves the day//, you just can't help not have a soft spot for the bad guy. Kudos on the Foxx and Tatum connection looks like this could work out well in the future. Another Kudos to Garcelle Beauvais for playing the FLOTUS //Nice to see Jamie and Fancy back together; The Jamie Foxx Show// Foxx as usual does a great job, and I can see him in the future, playing more presidential, or high command or leadership roles. Tatum, I must say, is becoming on of my new favorites in action stars and actors period. I appreciate his versatility of acting, to go from serious to comedic, or even if he just dances in the whole damn movie. Keep it up Tatum, you might find your self in a Marvel or DC, hell, Foxx just got into one.

As a media researcher, I have a passion for the information that is put in films, that cater to its authenticity that then leads me to wonder, is that true in real life. In White House Down I found myself wondering this more than usual. Mainly because its a movie about an actual place that has   a vast and vivid history. Some thoughts were as simple as does that golden clock really exist in the White House, is the President Bunker really through the library, Is custodial staff not allowed through where tourists are at, Did President Garfield really get the tunnel built underground because he didn't want to be seen in his swimsuit, AND, just how many time did Kennedy sneak Monroe into the White House (hmmmmmm)

My Rating: T.S.W.A (That Shyt Was Awesome)

These are just my thoughts, and my opinions, what are yours.
