Movie:White House Down: My Thoughts

YouTube Trailer

IMDbWhile on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders.

My Thoughts: This movie was way better than I expected. Based upon the title you already can tell that its something about to go down at the White House. //What is it this year about people picking on the White House, hmmmm//. While always good to see an action movie, with some comedy, and a story that plays out and develops //Yay, Daddy saves the day//, you just can't help not have a soft spot for the bad guy. Kudos on the Foxx and Tatum connection looks like this could work out well in the future. Another Kudos to Garcelle Beauvais for playing the FLOTUS //Nice to see Jamie and Fancy back together; The Jamie Foxx Show// Foxx as usual does a great job, and I can see him in the future, playing more presidential, or high command or leadership roles. Tatum, I must say, is becoming on of my new favorites in action stars and actors period. I appreciate his versatility of acting, to go from serious to comedic, or even if he just dances in the whole damn movie. Keep it up Tatum, you might find your self in a Marvel or DC, hell, Foxx just got into one.

As a media researcher, I have a passion for the information that is put in films, that cater to its authenticity that then leads me to wonder, is that true in real life. In White House Down I found myself wondering this more than usual. Mainly because its a movie about an actual place that has   a vast and vivid history. Some thoughts were as simple as does that golden clock really exist in the White House, is the President Bunker really through the library, Is custodial staff not allowed through where tourists are at, Did President Garfield really get the tunnel built underground because he didn't want to be seen in his swimsuit, AND, just how many time did Kennedy sneak Monroe into the White House (hmmmmmm)

My Rating: T.S.W.A (That Shyt Was Awesome)

These are just my thoughts, and my opinions, what are yours.
