Random Thoughts in Media: Steve Urkel. Alternative Motives, Dessert, Bayou Princess

So here are some of my random thoughts about different things in media, of course I had to start with Film and TV, but mediums will come...........These are my thoughts, do share yours.

Family Matters

Despite how bad Steve Urkel wanted Laura Winslow, Steve was always a good friend, helping her in school, getting her out of trouble, helping the family out, AND even listening to her issues with other dudes, and always having to witness him getting passed up and denied. Steve is the epitome of "Don't Quit"

A Family That Preys

Ladies, have you ever had a guy ask you out, and probably knew that he had some alternative motive or reason. Well just remember the scene from Tyler Perry's A Family That Preys. If a guy asks you out, and you think something seems sneaky, just ask to bring another guy along, and 1) check for the reaction, 2) count and see how long it takes for an answer.

Remember in the Matrix 2 "Matrix Reloaded," That scene where the woman ate the dessert

I wonder if they ever will ever make a dessert just like that with the same effect. Cause that would definitely be a best seller. It would be the guy's "Gonna get some plan" or  get out of jail free card, and the woman's escape plan to getting out of sex, or getting sex.  Not sure if the effect would be the same for a guy, depends on how its used and the timing.

Princess and the Frog

Way to go Disney for the first black princess.......but why the New Orleans Bayou. I'm not saying that it was not a good setting, BUT you let all the other minority princesses have a more traditional history setting, Asia, Middle East, America (somewhere) So why not just let her be an African princess, because last I remember Nala, was definitely a lion. I'm sure people would have had something to say about it, but they wouldn't have been able to say much.

  1. I always thought Steve Urkel was a zillion times cooler than Stephan Urkelle. But I love a nerd...
